icroGallery is pleased to present “The Colour of Thought,” a MyMicroGallery is pleased to present “The Colour of Thought” a group exhibition featuring works by eight artists employing widely varied mediums, including painting, photography and
embroidery, hailing from countries across the world including Germany, India, Italy, United States and the Netherlands.

The artists come from diverse backgrounds and have experience in various mediums including painting and photography. Organized and curated by Stefania Carrozzini, a gallerist and independent curator based in Milan, this show’s concept offers the opportunity to reflect on the theme of Emotional Intelligence related to creative process, intuition and inspiration. The artworks chosen have different vibrations and come from different impulses and methods welcoming an open-ended process of feeling art with all our senses.

Emotional intelligence unites the heart and mind, these two great enigmas; it blends passions and reason, and it is the only type of intelligence, which is able to make humanity evolve. Emotional intelligence is strictly tied to creative thought and art is always fruit of thought and emotion.

Art helps us to understand our emotions and is fundamental in order to preserve a sane society. Artists have always used all the possible tools, which enable free expression of emotions and thoughts reflecting, with a greater or lesser degree of awareness, the changes in society.

Beyond the scientific value, which the title of this exhibition might well suggest, it is important to underline the impact emotions have on our daily life. Artists know how to lend a voice to a disparate range of emotions channelling them into sounds, colours and movement.

Patrick will be exhibiting four 24" x 24"paintings (clockwise from upper left): Flood of Stars, The Pass, The Color of Thought and Burnout.

Palo Alto Festival of the Arts

August 2019

This will be the thirde time Patrick has exhibited at the Palo Alto Festival of the Arts.

Recognized as one of the top outdoor fine art festivals in the Bay Area, the 37th Annual Palo Alto Festival of the Arts offers a unique experience to each person.  Downtown University Avenue is transformed into a vibrant art gallery featuring original artwork by 300 fine artists on August 25-26 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Hosted by the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce and presented by the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, this awe-inspiring arts celebration brings together nationally recognized, local, regional and emerging artists, showcasing an array of mediums from contemporary to traditional: kinetic artworks, bronze sculptures, conceptual creations, and more. This artful avenue of design focuses on many one-of-a-kind original artworks for the art collector and festival connoisseur.

One of the participating artists, Ali Golkar, is the featured artist of this year’s 37th Annual Palo Alto Festival of the Arts poster artwork.

Immerse yourself in the arts, enjoy live entertainment on stage and in the street and be intrigued by artist demonstrations and interactive exhibits.

Don’t miss the Italian Street Painting Expo on Tasso, presented by the Palo Alto Weekly. More than sixty Madonnari, or street painters, will use pastels on pavement to create vibrant and colorful, large scale images. Even the Kids-Chalk-A-Lot area located near Lytton Avenue, welcomes the young Madonnari (under 12 years old) to create their own expression of chalk painting for a minimal fee. All proceeds benefit Youth Community Service.

Enjoy the sounds of acoustical guitars, ukuleles, and sweet melodies at the Webster Stage and for more high energy entertainment visit the Waverley Stage presented by AIBrain.  Or create your own at Chopin & Chandeliers. Anyone who can play the piano won’t want to pass up the opportunity to “tickle the ivories” on the Play Me Piano. Just look for the multi-colored chandeliers on the Tasso plaza.

Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival

About

Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival

Location: Mill Valley, California

Dates: September 14-15

September 2019

This juried show began in 1957. After 62 continuous years it is held annually in the heart of Marin  County.

This event features over 125 invited fine artists and makers from around the nation who showcase their work in a variety of disciplines.  The quality is eclectic, but the atmosphere among the redwoods creek is unbeatable!

This event encourages public art education and showcases emerging artists and students in separated areas.

This will be the third time I have done this event.  Previous times my sales were extraordinary.  At the last event I actually had two customers in a “friendly fight” over a painting!  The set up is challenging due to the hilly topography but worth every step and groan.  Lanterns are hung in the redwood trees, a band plays on a stage overlooking the creek, and visitors wander around eager to purchase.  A marvelous combination.
